Computational Fluid Dynamics

See the air
before you
build the room.

CFD thermal simulation is one of the rarest skills in energy consulting — and one of the most useful. We build a digital twin of your space and show exactly how air, heat, and humidity will move through it, before a single euro is spent on construction.

What You're Looking At

A live thermal
comfort map.

This is a simplified version of the kind of visualisation we deliver — a colour-coded map showing where a space will feel too hot, too cold, or just right. The dots represent simulated air particles tracing the actual flow paths.

For a real project, this comes with numerical data: temperature gradients, air velocity, humidity, and a PMV/PPD comfort score for every zone — built to the ISO 7730 and ASHRAE 55 standards.

PMV
Predicted Mean Vote — how comfortable people will feel, on average
PPD
Predicted Percentage Dissatisfied — how many people will complain

Who This Is For

Six situations
where CFD pays
for itself.

01
Before a major HVAC investment

You're about to spend €200k+ on a new system. CFD tells you whether the design will actually deliver comfort — before you commit, not after the complaints start.

02
Indoor pool halls

Humidity, condensation, and comfort complaints are notoriously hard to get right in pool environments. We simulate airflow specifically for these spaces.

03
Hospital and pharma cleanrooms

Air quality and thermal comfort can't be traded off against each other. CFD validates that your HVAC design meets both requirements simultaneously.

04
LEED, BREEAM, or planning submissions

Many certifications and large public projects now require thermal comfort documentation. We deliver reports formatted for direct submission.

05
Data centers

Hot-aisle/cold-aisle containment, CRAC unit placement, and rack-level airflow — CFD identifies hotspots and bypass losses before they cause downtime or drive up cooling costs.

06
Heat stress on factory workers

High ambient temperatures near furnaces, ovens, or process equipment create real safety risk. We simulate WBGT and heat exposure to validate ventilation and cooling interventions.

How It Works

From floor plan
to comfort map
in three steps.

1
We model your space
Working from drawings or a site survey, we build a 3D model of the room, building, or process area — including heat sources, vents, occupancy, and equipment.
2
We run the simulation
The model is simulated under your real operating conditions — seasonal temperatures, occupancy patterns, equipment loads — to see how air and heat actually behave.
3
You get a comfort map and a recommendation
A visual report shows comfort zones across your space, with specific design recommendations — and, if you're comparing options, a side-by-side of each scenario.
